Busy, Busy, Busy....
I know that is has been awhile since you have heard from me! Hopefully you have time to check out all of the things that 1B has been working on these past few weeks!!

Lead 21
Last week we finished Theme 6, A Perfect Place To Live. Our class worked very hard on our Glogster projects and were able to present them with Mrs. Kuhn's and Mrs. Voves's class.

Grassland by Cloey, Brady, and Payton

Forest by Shannon, Kaiya, Tristan, Landen, Stacy

Desert by Ty, Ashton, Susie, Wyatt, Kylee

Water by Will, Layton, Preston

This week we began Theme 7 in Lead 21. It is called "Good Citizens." We have been asking "What does it mean to be a good citizen?" Our vocabulary words this week are:

citizen                              laws

TEXAS!!
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to San Antonio, Texas for a weekend to attend the International Reading Convention. Myself, 3 other teachers, and Mrs. Sovereign were in attendance. What did we learn? Well I was able to bring back to the classroom several need strategies, iPad apps, and computer program information. Our class has already completed many new activities to help aid their comprehension as well as Web 2.0 skills! Here is an example of one new project:

We used the iPad app "Croak.it" to make book reviews!

Download a QR Code Reader onto your Smart Phone, iPad, Kindle, or other device! Scan the QR Code to hear our reviews!
