Busy, Busy Week!
MAPS and DIBELS testing kept us quite busy this week!! Fortunately, we
are almost finished!! Next week we will culminate assessments!
In DAILY 5, we continued to build our
stamina in read to self, read to someone,
and listen to reading. We were also
introduced to Work on Writing. We began
learning how to use the Kid Blog website to
write our thoughts. We also used a journal to
free-write.
Vowels, Vowels, Vowels
We continue practicing vowel identification
and vowel sounds. These silly letters continue
to confuse us! I will be sending a “short a”
word list home tonight. Please practice
reading these words to your child and having
them spell those words. Please send these back to
school! I would love to see them! The more exposure
to vowels, the more comfortable

them!
