Lead 21 . . .

Our guided reading stories this week were fables. We learned that fables are stories that are made up in order to teach a lesson/message/moral. Here are some of our friends reading their fables to the class. See if you can pinpoint the message!

The Golden Touch
Read by Layton

The Spider and the Honey Tree
Read by Payton

(Sorry.... Payton's text is cut in half! My iPad battery only supported 1 1/2 minutes)

The Raven and the Peacock
Read by Kylee

The Lion and the Mouse
Read by Landen

Fact Families!! In math we have been working with fact families. We have introduced Fact Triangles (which I am sure you have seen with Math Homework). The class has been playing a variety of math games to help them gain more comfort with fact families! Next week we will continue using numbers and investigating how they fit together as a family!

Wanted...
In the past 2 weeks, 4 pairs of headphones have been broken in our classroom (not purposefully!). We are in desperate need of working headphones to get us through the year! We use headphones daily when using computers, iPads, and CD players. If you have headphones to spare at home or stop by WalMart/Alco and would like to donate a pair, our class would be grateful!!

Happy 7th Birthday Landen!
