The End
to Another Busy Week
In
science, we finished studying ramps. Our students discovered that heavier cars
will impact the speed of the car and therefore crash our “crash box” harder. We
experimented with washers to change the weight of the car. Take a look at our
pictures below:
Our next
theme will be “Finding the Moon.” Please look for a moon calendar to come home
next week. I am asking that students look into the sky each night and draw what
they see (if the moon is visible). If students return this calendar, they will
get a prize out of the prize box!! If there is “no moon” in the sky, please
just draw an X through the box!
In Lead
21 we have been studying amazing people from United States history. Many of the
books we read this week had a hidden meaning, or message. For example, one
group read “The Lion & The Mouse.”
The message was: be kind to others, they
will be kind to you.
Your
child probably already mentioned that Lily moved to Kansas. She moved with her
dad and brothers/sisters in order to be closer to family. We have missed her
these past two weeks but we are excited to begin Skyping occasionally with Lily
and her new first grade class!
