Fun in First Grade

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!
Thank you to parents, grandparents, and other reading volunteers for making our reading volunteer party a SUCCESS!! Here are some pictures to highlight our day!




We celebrated Read Across America with several different activities including reading with Mrs. Mahr’s 1st graders, Mrs. Kerian’s High School Friends, Mrs. Wilson’s 5th Grade buddies, researching Dr. Seuss, writing our own books, making our own Dr. Seuss snacks, etc. Below are some pictures that highlight our week:








In math, we began unit 6 and in literacy we are finishing unit 4! This week we began working on our inquiry projects and will finish next week. We will begin unit 5 on Tuesday!

The junior high borrowed the “planetarium” from Keystone AEA and Mr. Knobloch was kind enough to give our class a tour. He showed us the Milky Way, the planets, other galaxies, and even some constellations!! Here are some pictures:
